I've written about Orlane's Anti-Fatigue Absolute Radiance Cream before (here), but it deserves another mention because I just can't get over how much I like it, and I've been surprised how seamlessly it made the jump from winter to spring (usually my winter must-haves start feeling too heavy once it warms up a bit).
I use mostly drugstore products in my day-to-day life, but I still try to test out different formulas whenever I can so that I'm relatively well-informed about what's on the market...and this is one of a handful of products that I keep coming back to over and over, whenever my skin feels like it needs some extra TLC. I think it's intended for use as a night cream (it's super-rich), but I also like to apply it in the daytime under my regular SPF-containing moisturizer an average of once a week, just to give my skin an extra boost when I feel like it needs it.
It's delicious. I like it so much I'm all weird and hoarder-y about it, and try to spread out my usage so that it'll last forever.
Highly recommended.
What I wore for Mother's Day dinner (at our local hibachi place, of course): a simple summer dress with fun details that I picked up for $19.50 at the mall, and then lightened up even more with white and rose-gold accessories.
We chose hibachi because we like it - obviously; that stuff is delicious - but also because convincing a toddler to sit still for the entire duration of a meal can be tough...but is made exponentially easier by the presence of flying eggs and fire.
My favorite part: the bright-pink lipstick (YSL Rouge Volupte Shine in Devotion). I love the pairing of mint green and bright pink - so fresh and springy.

When it comes to investing in a piece that you can wear over and over (and over), there's nothing like a good striped shirt. I look for tops that are lightweight and not-too-tight...but whatever your personal favorite fit is, once you find it in striped-shirt form you can take it everywhere.
For example:
