Pretty New Product: Elizabeth Arden Eyeshadow Trio

Have to say: Elizabeth Arden is killing it with the packaging design lately. First came the 1950s throwback Rose Aurora Collection, and now this new collection for Spring/Summer 2013: New York in Bloom. Pretty flowers on the lid, even prettier colors inside.

My favorite piece from the collection: the Eye Shadow Trio in Violet. It's rare that I see a palette in which I'd use all three shades equally, and this one is straight-up stunning. Try lightening up your lids with the pink shadow (I start with a pale nude or pink shade every single time I apply eyeshadow), then apply the taupe shade for daytime and darken up the creases with the deeper color for evening.

How-To: Easy Travel Hair

Q. Hey Jordan!

I am traveling to Europe and I’d like to leave the hairdryer, curling iron, and straightener at home. In an ideal world I’d hop out of the shower and 2 hours of air drying later I’d have some sexy tousled waves. Unfortunately I’ve been blessed with not quite straight, not quite curly (but always frizzy) medium-long hair.

Do you have any tips/tricks/or products you’d be willing to share for those of us looking for (super) low maintenance (but still cute) style?

Thanks!

Must-Try Product: Pevonia Peeling Cream

Every once in awhile I come across a new product that's truly phenomenal, and that immediately goes into heavy rotation. I've been using Pevonia Botanica's Enzymo-Spherides Peeling Cream ($43.50) twice a week for about a year now, and let me tell you: phenomenal.

It's basically just a deep exfoliating cream, but every single time I use it I see and feel an immediate difference in the texture of my skin. You apply it with wet fingers (avoiding the eye area), leave it on for two minutes (fast!) and rinse it off, and the pineapple and papaya-infused cream eliminates impurities, blackheads, and toxins, leaving your skin looking bright and feeling nice and smooth. Big, enthusiastic recommendation.

How-To: Create Old Hollywood Waves

They're not nearly as difficult to create as they look. (I swear.)

Yesterday afternoon I shot a tutorial on this style (the finished product is above), and it took ten minutes, start-to-finish (minus blowdrying time)...and held up perfectly all the way through until bedtime. What you'll need: - Mousse (I used Dove Style+Care Nourishing Curls Whipped Cream Mousse*) - Bobby pins - A 1 1/2" curling iron or wand - Hairspray (I used Dove Style+Care Strength & Shine Flexible Hold Hairspray*) - Hair clips *As Dove's Hair Brand Ambassador, all products used in this video were provided by Dove.
