A baking idea from Emma & Reilly

Up the decadence factor of your cupcakes in seconds with the simple addition of cookie dough. Just fill the cupcake tins halfway with batter, then place a small ball of store-bought (or homemade, if you want) cookie dough in the center, and top with a little more batter (you don’t have to top it with very much, because the cookie dough will sink as it cooks).

Today I was joined by high school students Emma and Reilly, who had to follow a “professional” (that’s me!) for a school assignment. They sat in on a production meeting, helped me make an apple pie video (above), and came up with their very own blog post (post to come).

I piled our extra glass bulb ornaments into bowls and hung a few more from the branches of our faux houseplant to Christmas up our kitchen. 

Tacky? Maybe. But I love kitsch at Christmastime.
