Another view of the glitter stream that runs through Eddie and Sharyn’s living room.
Photo
Sharyn testing different glitter colors on a piece of cardboard that mimics the brown paint they applied to the floor in the areas they wanted to cover with glitter.
The view looking down at the living room from Sharyn and Eddie’s bedroom (which is entirely open, accessed by a spiral staircase supported by a refinished tree trunk, and has a big cut-out in the middle that you can peer down into the living room from). That’s a mannequin that keeps watch over the place (there’s another half-mannequin in a vintage swimsuit down on the first floor, as well). See that stream of color running through the marble? They did that themselves with just some chisels, paint, epoxy, and glitter. I will explain.
DIY GLITTER STREAM
What you need:
Chisel
This vanity is my favorite piece in the entire house, and that’s saying a lot. When Sharon found it an an antique market the veneer was falling to pieces, but she had it covered completely with mirrored panels for a fraction of the price that she would have paid had she found it in this condition. She is my DIY inspiration.
The refrigerator in our guest cabin at Eddie & Sharon’s (I want one just like it). I don’t know who that man is in the corner, but he gave me a bit of a scare when I woke up in the middle of the night.
(By the way, I did ask them whether they minded if I took pictures, and they said not at all. I suspect they’re used to people photographing their house.)
Vintage plaid shirt, ancient Frankie B jeans, vintage belt & jewelry.
