LAST-MINUTE GIFT IDEA:

If you’re really stuck on what to get that last person on your list, try Amazingclubs.com or Monthlyclubs.com (there are lots of similar companies on the web), which have Gift of the Month Clubs that include Ice Cream Club, BBQ Sauce Club, Dog Treat Club, and Olive Oil Club. Last year I bought my dad a 3-month Cheese Club: I would have rather had smaller amounts of higher-quality cheeses, but I loved the explanations that came with each delivery. I think this would be a particularly great gift for a family, or a couple. Just an idea!

Heading over to Mom & Dad’s place to wrap presents with Dad (our annual tradition, mostly because it’s pretty laughable how terrible we both are at wrapping).

(Yeah, I bought another Gap hat…they’re presently on sale for $11, and there was only one left in the store, and I couldn’t help it. It’s the same one that Julia’s wearing in this video.)

Just got a request from reader Olivia asking how to make your own drawer liners, as they can be pretty expensive to purchase from stores. At your service!

DIY DRAWER LINERS

1. Cut acid-free copy paper or inexpensive wallpaper to fit drawers.

2. Spritz the underside of the paper with linen water (you can make it yourself to save even more money).
