Reader Jeanne wrote in to tell me about BARC, a no-kill shelter in Williamsburg, and I wanted to pass on the info to those of you who might be looking for a rescue cat or dog. I would especially like to draw your attention to Alex (her pic is midway down the page), a shih-tzu who lost much of her sight and is suffering from lymphoma, and could really use a little TLC and a warm bed.
