Saturday Shopping Trip
I, like everyone else on the planet, love outlet mall shopping. I mean, obviously. But, because I live in Manhattan and do not own a car (yet! I'm gearing up for a guys-tell-me-what-kind-of-car-to-lease - cheap! and good mileage! and safe! - post), I never get to do it.
On Saturday, I got to do it, at the Tanger Outlets in Deer Park, where I went in search of fun spring-y stuff for upcoming segments. (I look so serious in that shot! So Matrix-y. It's the sunglasses.)

Moonshine And Missed Picklebacks / One Stop Beer Shop
For Friday's JITH shoot, we camped out at One Stop Beer Shop, in East Williamsburg.
One Stop Beer Shop is a fairly new addition to the neighborhood, offering Growlers-to-go, Kombucha on tap, and one hell of a light fixture (seriously).
Also? I just looked them up on Yelp! and realized that I missed the opportunity to have my first pickleback in nearly two years. This makes me sad.
Don’t Kill The Flowers

I've tried everything with this little guy, trucking him around to different parts our apartment in search of the right balance of light and air, watering him religiously, blowing him little kisses...and still.
Anyway, I am the last person you want to get apartment gardening tips from. But click here for some ideas from girls who seem to have a better handle on these kinds of things.
Eat All The Burgers
This was the first location we shot in yesterday: The Burger Joint, which you get to in a very neat way, by wandering through the fancy-pants lobby of Le Parker Meridian Hotel and then ducking behind a thick burgundy curtain (the only indicator of what's to come is a small neon hamburger on the wall).
Inside, a super-cool (and tiny; go early or face completely crazy lines) space with wood paneling, vinyl booths, and one of the best burgers in the city (get it fully loaded with cheese).
Anywhere with lampshades like that has my official Seal Of Approval.
