Over The Moon Music

If you live in the Westchester area and have wee ones, you need to know about Over The Moon Music.

Yes, I know: music classes for babies, huh?, et cetera. But it's the best: first of all, it's not even a "class" at all - it's more like playtime with music included (even though the grownups present can feel wonderfully parent-y about exposing their children to extremely subtle lessons about rhythm and tone). And you use things like egg shakers and jingle bells - whee - and kids are free to participate (or not) to the extent that they're comfortable with. If what they feel like doing is taking off their socks over and over instead of jingle bell-ing (ahem), they can totally do that.

And mostly...Indy loves it. And I love it. And I can tell that the other moms and dads who go with their kids love it, because we actually talk to each other before and during the classes, which is fantastic and makes me feel even more like I'm a part of this community.

Big, from-the-bottom-of-my-heart recommendation.

Good Morgan!

You know my friend Morgan? She's blogging. And hilarious. And thoughtful. And all these other wonderful things that I knew about her already, but that I think you'll enjoy discovering, too.

Click here to check out her musings on Christmas trees that aren't in New York City, not being pregnant, and Ashley Dupre (of course).

Beauty Find: Lipstick Queen Saint Rust

This is a really good color.

You already know I'm obsessed with Lipstick Queen (I actually wear Saint Eden - a sheer watermelon shade - every single day, and when I run out and forget to order more I switch over to the deeper and slightly more matte Saint Red while I wait for my new tube to arrive)...and now I have another reason to continue my love affair with the brand.

Saint Rust is a fantastic everyday neutral: the color is described as "sun-kissed rusty red"...sort of a warm, sheer red with just a hint of orange. I'm looking forward to wearing it in the summer with a bit of a tan, but for now it works so long as I warm up my skin with a little bronzer.
