In today's edition of "Why I Love The Internet": the mystery of my thrift-store chair was solved...by the son of the man who made it (read through to the comments).

New car! (Sort of.)

Fun Route 66-inspired sale today on Joss & Main. And if you're looking for white '50s-inspired mesh chairs, this is a pretty great price for a set of 4.

Love the shape of this not-so-basic black bikini by Adia.

These Kinds Of Things Don’t Happen To City Kids

Last night, I was on the phone with my dad and Indy was watching Bubble Guppies, and Kendrick came charging into the living room:

"There is a huge turtle sitting in our front yard."

That is a sentence that you don't hear when you grow up on 46th Street and 10th Avenue. Ever.

I did have a turtle when I was little, actually. I found him at our friend's lake house upstate, named him Sammy (many of the pets I had when I was little were named "Sammy"), and brought him home for a summer before releasing him back into the lake when September rolled around.

What We Wore: One Night In Vegas

Francesca and I live on opposite coasts now, so we don't get to see each other nearly as often as we'd like. And so when we do get to see each other...we like to do it up.

Pretend we're still living together in L.A. and thinking about things like which bathing suit to wear on a Tuesday afternoon.

Put on sequins and red lipstick and get into a little trouble.

(Oh, okay...we got in no trouble at all. We tried, I swear, but after sacrificing ten bucks to the slot machines we decided to just cut our losses and window-shop for shoes along the Grand Canal.)
