OK, we’re going to have to agree to ignore two things in order to proceed here.
1. The photo quality. I am, as we know, quite klutzy, and fancy camera + restaurant surrounded by water on three sides seemed like a poor pairing. And for some reason my little point-and-shoot was having issues with both flash and focus.
2. My sunburn.
Oof.
Those minor issues aside, I rather liked this easy, inexpensive look: the whole thing was less than $80, top-to-bottom, and so airy and cool that even my scorched self was comfortable on a steamy evening.
Nothing too crazy here…just light pieces that pretty much scream “Why yes, I am having a lovely summer evening, thanks!”
Let’s take a closer look at the shoes, shall we? Kendrick, would you mind holding them up, there?
Thankyoudarling. (Please also ignore my feet.)
They’re a Peppermint Park purchase, and I adore them – mostly because they’re only an inch and a half high, which will make them lovely and comfortable for trekking all over town this summer (something that they most definitely do not have in common with most of my shoe wardrobe).
On me:
H&M knit cardigan; tank dress purchased at Winner’s (the Canadian equivalent of TJ Maxx); vintage bag (free at a Canadian flea market), Frye sandals, vintage belt, DKNY horn necklace.
Get the look, minus the burn:
1. Modcloth Butterfly Away Cardigan ($30)
2. Brass Horn Pendant ($63)
3. Rania Flash Dress in Yellow (35 EUR)
4. Ecote Gladiator Leather Macrame Sandals ($38)
5. American Vintage Woven Belt in Navy ($29)
