This is where I spent most of yesterday: in one of the most beautiful places on the planet, Chatauqua Park. You know, in college I had a roommate who had grown up right in this part of Boulder, and was always going on and on about how it was the best place in the world, and everyone should live there, and I didn’t really get it…
But now I do. It’s that beautiful. And the people are friendly, and everyone’s outdoorsy, and the streets are clean, and the restaurants (from what I’ve seen) are great, and the vintage shopping appears fairly spectacular (I’ll do more research on this point later on today), and et cetera et cetera. A+ city.
This photograph is much less weird than it appears: that’s me posing with my makeup artist, Cindy, while our sound guy adjusts my mic. I can’t explain why I’m holding that stick.
…Amazing, right?
We broke for lunch at the Brasserie Ten Ten – the group pictured includes the team from Crocs (hands-down some of the most wonderful people I’ve ever had the chance to work with), our crew from Meredith (including John, who you may remember from the occasional JITH cameo), and blogger Jenn from The Stylish Housewife (far right).
This is one of my favorite of the F/W styles that we shot, the Allcast Luxe Duck Boots (available in early fall).
Before dinner at Salt, I changed into a Boo Hoo sparkle sweater (similar) and Elizabeth & James bellbottoms, and then did a few ballet moves in my hotel room (a not-so-successful attempt to show you the lines of the sweater).
Tell me this is not one of the coolest cocktail menus you’ve ever seen. You pick your spirit, then pick your flavoring, and then decide how you’d like it served (I went for tequila + blood orange/rosemary + fizz).
Pretty great wedding idea, just saying.
And this is how my evening ended: with fluffy pillows and complimentary chocolates…
And another zombie encounter, of course. Isn’t that what everyone wants to see moments before they fall asleep?
