I live in Denver and I am going to a rodeo this weekend. I’ve done the whole plaid cowgirl look, and I was wondering if you had any good ideas for a cute outfit aside from the standard flannel [shirt]?

A. Ah ha! You have located the one place to which I probably would not wear a plaid flannel shirt: a place where everybody else will be wearing plaid flannel shirts. The fun thing about plaid is wearing it in unexpected ways – and I can’t imagine anything I’d expect to see more at a rodeo than a checkered button-down.
Also: fun! One day I’ll have to go to one myself.
