What I Want To Wear Right Now

At the Katherine Kwei event on Tuesday night, one of the other bloggers strolled in wearing a totally jaw-dropping outfit. I was too shy to ask her if I could take a picture, but here’s an approximation:

Silver sequin miniskirt + red plaid shirt + flat brown boots

I obviously own a red plaid shirt, and I’m still circling around the idea of picking up a pair of the Steve Madden boots pictured above, so all I need to make this happen is a silver sequin miniskirt. The one pictured above is incredible, but it’s Haute Hippie and $365…so…can’t. Hot Topic makes one, though. For $29! So I may need to take this look for a spin.

Quick question: what are your thoughts on legwear with this outfit? I feel like black tights are a little boring, but almost anything else would compete with the skirt. Hm.

    how about black pantyhouse with little hearts? or black lace tights?

    I think it would look better with grey booties rather than than brown boots. Maybe sheer black tights? Or no tights, still warm out.

    Could be fabulous with grey tights…or even more stunning with a taupe/luggage/caramel color tight the color of the boot. Would look rich!

    speaking of little hearts on tights…i stopped into the gap yesterday and they have pale grey ones w/tiny hearts – super cute.
