At last night’s Anthropologie event (with Lindsey & Christine), trying on some favorite items from their fall line (that HAT). (Would love your vote – or rather your “like” – in the Anthro style-off over on FB.)

The focus of the event was on inventive combinations of colors, prints and styles – like a hot-pink belt over an orange dress, paired with a navy-and-brown cardigan…
…and dresses over dresses (keep the more lightweight layers underneath).
Oh, that belt. You know, I’ve never been into the full-on equestrian look for fall, but touches of rugged leather and buckles, especially when mixed with flowy, feminine pieces? Perfect.
And color. Everywhere.
Loved this coat enough to take a covert photo in the dressing room mirror while warily making sure that no one else wandered in and saw…me taking covert photos in the dressing room mirror. Not that such things are uncommon sights at blogger events, but still.
