Speaking of Pizza…

In this really excellent article, Anthony Bourdain says that Di Fara‘s is “the best of the best.” Peter Cherches concurs. Never been to Di Fara’s; now desperately want to go.

    You HAVE to go to Di Faras just so you can see the owner who makes every pizza that comes out of the oven (for the like the last 60 years). He snips fresh parsley/basil from plant he keeps in his window. Also there are great bakeries all throughout the neighborhood. Some of the best, BEST rugelach ever.

    I agree, Di Fara's is amazing. But equally amazing is Saraghina's a new place on Lewis Ave in Bed Stuy. You step into the space and its like being transported into the magical world of a Fellini movie (apropros to its name). Also the all Italian staff is so charming and their side plates are SUPERB.
