Kabobs & A Question For You

So I was lazy the other night and just bought the pre-made skewers (pictured above with couscous and garlic-sauteed haricots verts) at Fairway.

But I’d like to make my own version on a for-real grill this summer, so if anyone has a particularly spectacular recipe (marinade, etc) would love to hear it!

for the marinade- soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, garlic, onions, little bit of sesame oil. and after i grill i sprinkle w/ toasted sesame seeds.  i use either pork or chicken  (pork is tastier i think).  and have it on jasmine rice with a side of kimchi!  : )

delurking to comment because a kebab marinade from my childhood is the ultimate comfort food for me. Not fancy – not particularly glamorous – but works with both chicken and beef.

1 bottle soy ( i always use low sodium) + 1 bottle Worcestershire. Pour over cubed meat and let soak for minimum 2 hours . Grill with tomatos/onions/green pepper.

While I am usually lazy in terms of marinade (Wishbone Italian dressing? Sold.) I do have one gem to impart: mangos on the skewers along with the usual veggie suspects. Grilled mango is BOMB.
