Classic Agendas

Q. Hi Jordan!

I need some help finding a beautiful, classic agenda that will never go out of style. I don’t want to spend $200 on something that I’ll be tired of in a year. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Becky

A. I held onto my agenda for years beyond when most people switched over to using their computers and/or phones for everything scheduling-related – I loved having something to tuck receipts and photos into, and found it difficult to break the habit of…you know, using a pen and paper when I wanted to write something down. About a year ago I finally made the transition over to keeping my calendar and notes on my iPhone, but I still completely get the classic appeal of a for-real agenda.

So let’s find one for you.

Agendas can get way pricey (my all-time look-at-but-don’t-touch favorite is the $400 Mulberry agenda), but if you’re looking for something inexpensive you can always go with a simple Graphic Image desk agenda ($40, and can be embossed with your initial), or pick up a regular old Moleskine and cover it with a beautiful leather case from Etsy.

If you’re looking to invest in something that’ll last you for years and years, however, these are some classic, beautiful options (all under $200):

1. Coach (more colors available; $148)

2. Christian Lacroix ($135)

3. Dooney & Bourke (more colors available; $180)

4. Kate Spade (on sale for $115)
