Question For You / What About This Couch?!

So after brunch Kendrick, Mike, Elli and I stopped into Pier One, and I fell completely in love with this couch (which is a deeper, more chocolately color than it looks here). We’re selling a couple of pieces of furniture at the moment, and if we can sell our couch for the amount we bought it for as well, we won’t have to pay much extra for this one. Here’s a shot from the website that shows the color:

Our blue couch doesn’t work quite as well as I’d hoped it would…and this new one is like warm-bath-level comfort.

What do you think??

I love the shape! However, the material looks like it might be a pet-hair magnet. If you're okay with constant lint-rolling, I say go for it. It looks super plush.

I love it! It looks so cozy.

    LOVE it, get it!
Color and fabric remind me of my Lounge sectional from Crate and Barrel that my boyfriend and I broke the bank to buy a few months ago (color is Walnut- like a gray choco brown ). We splurged because it was amazingly comfortable and the color lends itself well to many decor options. I also have a white dog that sheds a lot, but the microfiber is insanely easy to keep clean with a damp paper towel and twice a week vacuum.

I really, really like it. It looks great for lounging but as someone mentioned before, it does look like a pet hair magnet, so depending on how much shedding you have going on, it may be something to consider.

Love it!! My only hesitation would be that it's a two-cushion couch, which I know from experience can start to sink in the middle after about a year, but if the cushions are firm and seem to have enough support, it might be fine. The shape is gorgeous.

actually, neither lucy nor virgil seem to shed much…but they both do have light hair, so that's something to definitely consider!

Hi Jordan, Eric and I actually looked at that couch…and we were very close to buying it. We ultimately wanted something leather so we bought a couch here: http://www.homereserve.com/ due to size of the stairs up to our apartment. But, we really liked the one you are looking at!

wow – that site is SO reasonable!

elli and i debated that actually…she mentioned that sometimes 3-cusion couches have a problem where the cushions on either end get sat on, while the one in the middle never really does, resulting in a sort of uneven look. i don't think a couch like this would last forever, but for a few years, hopefully! i LOVE the shape too :)

our neighbors have a crate & barrel couch in that gorgeous gray-brown color as well, and it's stunning! i esp like this one: http://www.crateandbarrel.com/furniture/sofas/petrie-sofa/s688480.

Yes, it is! And they delivered everything, Eric put together both our couch and loveseat, AND they have storage underneath!! (we got the couch, loveseat, and pillows all for under $900) It's great for apartments. They are more comfortable than the one from Pier 1, I have to say. It's fun picking everything out, too!
