This was one of the views of our home that I saw on the Internet before I ever saw it in person – it was part of the set of photos that got me all “I must live here one day and will not take no for an answer, even if it takes me two years and countless headaches.”

I adored everything about this little spot: the contrast between the blue, black and white, the curving railings and ceilings, and the wall moldings.

And so this was the place I chose for one of my favorite new purchases – an Alice in Wonderland print we found at a local street fair for $20.

Still To Do:

Nothing. This 4′ x 4′ square of home is done.

I love how whoever built this house just went “yeah, so the window doesn’t fit, SO BE IT NATURAL LIGHT MATTERS”. Word.

Also: I love that Alice print. It reminds me of a necklace I gave my sister for Christmas last year, one of several awesome ones I got her from this Etsy shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/pennymasquerade (somehow I’m guessing you’ll love that shop). It had a miniature framed Alice in Wonderland print similar to the one you’ve got there, and a pearl, and a small golden ‘A’. Her name is Alice. It was brilliant.
