Raise Your Hand If You’d Like A Grownup Milkshake

That’s what I thought you said.

Mudslides are pretty much the Caymans’ mascot. (Well, those and Rum Punches. And turtles.) They’re also grownup milkshakes, and so delicious.

CAYMAN ISLANDS MUDSLIDE

In a blender, combine an ounce each of Bailey’s, Kahlua, and vodka, a couple of scoops of vanilla ice cream, and a couple of ice cubes (I’d also add half a banana – rrr). Drizzle a little chocolate syrup along the sides of a glass, then pour in the ice cream mixture. Top with whipped cream, if desired, and – this is important – serve with a Kahlua-filled straw.

Oh god I love those!!! Can you do a Rum Punch post? And there’s a Caribbean drink I know you’d love called the Corn n Oil which involves blackstrap rum and valernum. Try it!
Also, what’s “rrr?” I never heard it before in internetese.

“rrr” is me growling in delight ;)
i’ve had rum punches in lots of different places, but the stuff found in the cayman islands is something special. it definitely has orange juice, pineapple juice, and light rum in it, and a bit of cherry juice floating on top (you don’t mix it, so you get that pretty sunset effect). this guy recommends adding a bit of hawaiian punch to the mixture, too: http://www.rongetman.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=37&Itemid=7
