Oooh / Lavender Vodka Tonic

Thanks to reader Rain for sending on this cocktail recipe from BlondeGourmand!

All you need:

2 oz vodka

1/4 oz lime juice

Tonic water to fill (I’d substitute sparkling water, ’cause I like it better)

Just combine all ingredients in an ice-filled glass (or mason jar) and stir! Garnish with a lavender sprig or mint leaf.

I love this idea. I think I'll make some lavender simple syrup tonight and play around with it. And what a great way to spice up a plain vodka tonic at weddings or other parties (I'd also make it with soda since it'll get the sweetness from the syrup anyway).

wouldn't it be lovely as a specialty cocktail at a wedding?! you can also make simple syrups using other dried herbs – thyme, rosemary, etc (both nice pairings with gin).
