Little Luxuries / Mulberry Gifts

I spent part of Saturday at the Mulberry store on Madison hanging out with a couple of friends who work there, and discovered this gorgeous rose necklace, which would make a beautiful, if pricey (it’s $185), Valentine’s Day gift.

Here’s the thing about luxury brands like Mulberry: I think we can probably all agree that it doesn’t make a ton of sense to buy a bag just because it has a fancy logo emblazoned on it…but sometimes it’s fun to have a small, really special item from a designer that you adore but can’t ordinarily afford. And if it’s something that you can use on a daily basis, like an amazing new wallet or a necklace that goes with everything in your wardrobe, even better: then rather than being a one-time indulgence, it’s a purchase that injects a little luxury into your everyday routine…and to me, it’s all about the little things that make your days just a tiny bit brighter.

I’ve always loved Mulberry, but obviously I’m not laying out rent money on a bag at the moment (although if someone were to show up on my doorstep with a white-and-rose-gold Alexa, I wouldn’t send them packing)…so here are some of the smaller items that I think would make gorgeous special-occasion presents. They may not be the kind of things you’d buy for yourself…but did you know that if you go ahead and highlight that URL up at the top of your page you can cut and paste it into an email addressed to a significant other? Just saying.

P.S. FYI, I have zero affiliation with Mulberry other than fact that my friends work there and that I love love love their stuff.
