Look Good Naked

By Jenn Fournier

I’ve never been one for self-tanners, but I recently went home to Rhode Island to visit my parents and noticed my mom’s gorgeous, sun-kissed – or so I thought! – skin. When she said she hadn’t even gone near any rays, I was immediately intrigued. I kid you not: her skin looked as if she had spent the whole weekend baking outside (minus the sunburn, of course). She went upstairs and came down with these little orange packets called Tan Towels. To me, they looked like glorified baby wipes, but was I ever wrong. I tried one…and I’ve been hooked ever since.

Tan Towels are self-tanning towelettes that you rub on your face and body to obtain the perfect summer glow. They’re super-easy to use and leave your skin with completely natural, even color. They’re a healthy way to get some color without risking all those wrinkles down the road…and are the perfect way for my fair-skinned friends (ahem, Jordan) to avoid the burn and still rock a sun-kissed glow.

Tan Towel Tidbits:

1. The towelettes can be applied to both face and body, and are very quick-drying (just be careful to follow package instructions before getting dressed so that you don’t end up with stains on your clothing).

2. They should be used after you’ve showered and completely dried off (and remember to wash your hands immediately after). You’ll see results within 2 to 3 hours.

3. Use a new Tan Towel every few days to maintain your glow.

4- My mom thinks that you can save the towels for more than one use, and yep: Mom was right (figures) – you can totally get more than one application out of them.

The picture on the left is of Jordan and me at the B5 Media Event. The morning of this event I used a Tan Towel. Don’t I look like I have nice base tan? Truth: I hadn’t seen the sun in at least a month, and just one Tan Towel used on my arms, neck and face gave me that warm, summery glow.

My mom is an avid HSN shopper, and discovered that you can purchase Tan Towels online at HSN.com (an 8-pack costs just $24.90). They’re also available at Sephora, Ricky’s, Nordstrom, Drugstore.com and many other local retailers in your area.

I was skeptical at first, but now I am a walking, talking testimonial that this product works. Now go ahead, get your glow on! (Sorry…couldn’t resist).

Big hugs to Jordan for having me over at Ramshackleglam!

(Just to be clear: This is 100% not a paid endorsement; I’m just a huge fan of the product!)
