I’m one of those people who likes to change up their bedding fairly often. Over the years, I’ve gone for a pale green duvet topped with a hot pink fringe throw, a rainbow quilt, and a Martha Stewart wheat pattern…
But I think that our new bedroom, with its fancy pale-blue wallpaper, calls for calm white-on-white.
Putting together an all-white bed is sort of like putting together a single-color outfit: in order to keep things from looking bland, the key is to make sure that you include lots of different textures.
One inexpensive way to create texture: layer throws in the same color family on top of the quilt or duvet cover you already own.
On Our Bed: Donna Karan Essentials Lustre Seam Collection quilted coverlet, quilted standard-sized shams, knit blanket (folded over quilt, above) and European-sized shams; No-name white fur throw (try this one for a similar look); Martha Stewart Collection standard pillowcases, flat sheet, and fitted sheet.
