Wearing head-to-toe @tjmaxx for today’s @bettertvshow shoot!
Or…at least the pieces you can see are all T.J.Maxx. There’s another piece that I’m wearing in this picture that you can’t see, and we need to talk about it.
I’ve never worn shapewear before in my life, and this is for two reasons:
1. I tend to dress in a way (I like to call it “potato sack chic”) that more or less hides my “eh” spots (the muffins, basically);
2. Whenever I see it in a store, shapewear looks miserably uncomfortable: hot, constricting, and so thick that you’d think it would add bulk.
But when Wacoal sent me the bra that I wrote about last week they included the Smooth Complexion Long Leg Shaper in the package, and since I was wearing a relatively form-fitting dress for this morning’s Better TV segment I thought, you know, hey. Why not?
Oh my goodness, I love it. I am now a convert, totally get why people love shapewear, and will be wearing this particular item under every single fitted everything for ever and ever. It’s made from super light fabric – so light that when I looked at it I was confused as to how it would hold in anything at all – and when you put it on you can barely even feel it, and yet it somehow tucks and pulls in and confidence boosts and et cetera et cetera.
Just wanted to let you know about this. Because I think you will love it too.
