We got a new puppy!

Oh shush, I’m kidding. We did, however, send Virgil in for his very first grooming a couple of days ago…and this adorableness was the result. When I lived in LA, I used a mobile pet groomer (they just pull up to your place in a van equipped with everything they need to groom the dog and do it right there). I like this system because it enables me to check in to make sure that things are going well (I know it can get dogs riled up to see their owners in the middle of a grooming, but it makes me nervous to leave the dogs with someone I’ve never met before; Lucy once came home from a groomer in Hell’s Kitchen with cuts on her face).

Anyway, I thought I’d try mobile grooming services in New York, and contacted Aussie Pet Mobile. The price ($80) was about what I’ve found elsewhere in NYC, the groomer was lovely and friendly, and wow, was it ever convenient. Recommended!
