For those of you just now joining me…hi, and thank you. A little bit about myself: I’m 28, married to a musician who I met on MySpace and got engaged to rather quickly, and living on the Upper East Side (East of Lex, so I’m enjoying lots of early-morning construction) with our two little dogs, Lucy and Virgil. I cook a ton (but am still learning), appear regularly on BetterTV (go here for all my vids), and on occasion drag furniture in from off the street for some rehab.
A few more factoids: I was one of the Cat People in the Trovata campaign, was an original cast member of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” am a total fanatic about lavender, have chatted about virginity on VH1, am a firm believer in DIY money-savers, and have worse luck with travel than anyone you know.
So…what is a “haphazard approach to happiness”? I try each and every day to live my life in a way that is true to what makes me happy – regardless of others’ expectations about what should make me happy. I like cheap beer, and so I drink it. I love singing karaoke to Aerosmith, and so I do. I really, really like Prego…and I don’t see any problem with that. I think that there’s an unbelievable amount of negativity out there in the world – and especially on the internet – and that fear of being judged impacts people’s ability to embrace what they truly enjoy…and that makes me sad. So this, right here, is a place to revel in your love of hand-me-downs, eat truffles filled with Oreos, or paint your floor with glitter…whatever makes you feel alive.
