About thirty seconds before guests arrived for our party last weekend, I remembered that I had been planning to dress up. And instead of throwing on a pair of cat ears…I did this. (And then did it again, and again, and again, because all of the kids – and half of the adults – who came wanted me to do it to them, too.)
The Products You’ll Need
- Highly pigmented blue, green, yellow and pink eye shadow. (The palette I use in this vide, Urban Decay’s Electric Palette, is apparently discontinued, as I just discovered while searching for a link to buy – UGH – but you can pick it up on eBay. This palette has almost identical colors and is both under $20 and available at Target.)
- Silver or gold sparkly eye shadow or dust
- Black liquid eyeliner
- Black kohl eyeliner
- Bubblegum-pink blush (I’m wearing NARS Angelika here, and it’s gorgeous – just maybe don’t lay it on so thick if you’re not being a rainbow unicorn)
- Pink lipstick (Lipstick Queen Sinner in Pinky Nude is the best not-too-pink, not-too-brown shade I’ve ever found – and I’ve been looking for the perfect pink lipstick since I was fourteen years old, so that’s saying something)
