I had never heard of – let alone eaten – a boiled peanut before last night, and…kind of lost my mind over them. A woman sitting in the row ahead of us generously passed us back beers and a few boiled peanuts (which squirt salted water at you that simply must be licked off the fingers as sloppily as possible), and I immediately tasked Kendrick with finding us our own basket of the things. I will also be making them frequently upon my return to New York.
BOILED PEANUTS (recipe via the guy sitting in front of us at the concert)

1. Rinse unshelled peanuts in water.
2. Place water, salt, and peanuts in a large pot. Bring to a boil and cover.
