Game Pie
Tea at the Wolseley
For my last two meals in London, I had game pie (partridge, rabbit and duck) with bread sauce at The Prince Bonaparte, and then met my college roommate, Catherine for breakfast at the Wolseley, which was a stunning ending to a lovely trip.
Catherine, incidentally, is currently a PhD candidate with the following dissertation topic: “‘God’s so just a scourge a plague?’: Elizabethan responses to the Massacre of St. Bartholomew’s (1572) and the Sack of Atwerp (1576).” I miss her.
