Upstairs at The Oak
Cocktails at Upstairs at The Oak
Vegetable Antipasti
Berry crumble w/ fresh cream
Last night we started with cocktails at Upstairs at the Oak, which was decorated like a masculine Alice in Wonderland. Needless to say, I oohed and aahed a lot – even the moldings were stunning. We had been planning to head to The Wine Room for dinner, but when we exited the bar we saw that it had started pouring (shocker) and decided to stay put.
This turned out to be a good idea, because the food at The Oak was phenomenal. Dinner lasted four or so hours, during which we went through vegetable antipasti (with a bottle of prosecco), scallops and sirloin (with a carafe of white wine), and fruit crumble (with glasses of Moscato d’Asti). Let’s just say it was a good thing that the walk home was a short one.
