At Mercat with Meghan and Megan. The restaurant is beautiful – very gothic and sexy, especially in the downstairs area – and while the tapas weren’t particularly innovative, they were tasty (I could happily eat the patatas bravas daily, and the cod was excellent). I also appreciated that when we asked the waiter for a wine recommendation, he steered us towards what he said was his favorite, and happened to be the least expensive bottle on the menu. He was spot-on – especially for the price point, the wine was great.
