Since Kendrick is in the studio all weekend and Mom is in Canada with our family for Canadian Thanksgiving, which is Monday (I am so sad I couldn’t join her, but flights were just way too expensive), Dad and I are spending Saturday and Sunday together.

Saturday morning, we decided to head upstate to Cold Spring (we took the car instead of Dad’s motorcycle so that Lucy could come with). The leaves are turning already, which is so beautiful, and also a little sad. This is without a doubt my favorite time of year.

Cold Spring is a perfect day trip from NYC, as it’s close (about an hour out of the city), and full of relatively affordable antique shops and great little cafes.
