I would decorate my house just like this.
…Except there would be more pictures of me.

Bon Voyage
On the plane to Aspen…
This is how Jordan rolls, airport style.
Well…not usually. My jeans were too long for flats, my other pair of jeans was packed…and I now have about a bazillion blisters on my toes. I do, however, absolutely adore my “new” shoes (they’re Julia’s old ones, acquired at Meghan’s Clothing Swap).
I’m not the luckiest person in the world when it comes to travel, but this trip went incredibly smoothly.
Video: How To Break Down A Pig
A few weeks ago, I visited Ottomanelli Bros to learn about the pig butchering process; basically, how to break down a pig to ready it for sale in a shop.
SF / Dim Sum
A touch soused from our Recession Specials, Megan and I wandered through Chinatown, where we sampled some dim sum and tasted freshly made fortune cookies at a fortune cookie factory.
I don’t know a whole lot about dim sum (all I know is that I like the pork buns). Anyone have any suggestions for next time?
My favorite of the day’s stops: Vesuvio Cafe, on Columbus Avenue, where Megan and I sampled the “Recession Special” (a beer and a shot for $4!). The decor at Vesuvio is absolutely jaw-dropping: kind of Wailea-meets-Woodstock, with wicker chairs, dusty chandeliers, and one totally awesome bartender.
After lunch, Megan and I stopped into The Beat Museum, which sells books by Beat Generation authors, clothing, and tchotchkes, and houses a museum showcasing all things Kerouac, Ginsberg, and Burroughs.
You can view their collection online and shop for posters, CDs, t-shirts, and books at Kerouac.com.

Our choice of venue for lunch reflected our mood. The grilled ham and cheese sandwich was fine, the Bud Lights were better…and the company was spectacular.
(Let’s not even talk about our outfits - we planned on just heading out to grab coffee, and then ended up staying out for hours.)
