Saturday night, I joined my parents for dinner at Trattoria Casa Di Isacco (absolutely glowing review to come) and then saw Up In the Air while Kendrick headed downtown to meet up with our friend Amanda. While slogging back home through the raging blizzard that is currently shutting down the entire city, I realized that I had left my keys at home. Of course.

BUT!

I heard the delicate strains of “Crazy in Love” streaming out from Jack Russel’s Pub, across the street, and trudged gallantly through the snowdrifts in search of tequila and a warm place from which to call Kendrick and instruct him to come home and save me immediately. While waiting, I met reader Erica and two very sweet guys who were on a fundraising pub crawl to benefit cancer research.

With Kate and Amanda (who I first met at the Dana-Maxx event) at Spin New York.

I don’t usually dress like this - first of all, it’s rare to find me in a bright color, and I don’t like wearing anything tight, but sometimes it’s fun to put on a body-hugging red dress. And matching lipstick!

Diesel dress, Bare Escentuals Red Zin lipstick.

Oh my goodness, do I ever love hanging out with these girls. Everyone at Meghan’s party was so fun, and I met tons of wonderful new people. (Prom King, by the way, is my new favorite dude.)

With the beautiful NonSociety ladies at Meghan’s ping-pong birthday party at Spin New York, on 23rd and Park. I am…pretty bad at ping pong. I was out in the first round. But Kendrick won an XBox 360!!! Grand Theft Auto 4, I’m lookin’ at you.

My mom performing at Dance Chelsea. I’m so proud of her! She and I started ice skating together when I was about four, and she skated in competitions up until about four years ago, when she decided to switch to dancing (I stopped competing when I was fourteen). She also takes piano lessons from Kendrick and practices for at least an hour every day, rides a motorcycle, eats like a truck driver, and is generally unstoppable.

I don’t know where she gets her energy - it’s obviously not genetic.
