Meghan and I announcing that the runway show is about to start. The DJ, Chris Bachmann of 103.5 KTU, was great (and super nice).

Greeting the guests, microphone and notes for speech in hand (I was a little nervous).

Dana-Maxx dress, Betsey Johnson sweater tights, Juno heels.

Last night, Meghan and the Cheshire Cat (that’s me) co-hosted an event for Dana-Maxx to benefit the Women’s Funding Network: an organization that acts as a global champion for investment in women and works to reduce poverty, increase access to education and healthcare, and protect women against violence and abuse.

Above, we’re wearing Dana-Maxx’s fabulous designs. This shot was taken just as the doors were about to open; later, we changed into two more gorgeous dresses.

A baking idea from Emma & Reilly

Up the decadence factor of your cupcakes in seconds with the simple addition of cookie dough. Just fill the cupcake tins halfway with batter, then place a small ball of store-bought (or homemade, if you want) cookie dough in the center, and top with a little more batter (you don’t have to top it with very much, because the cookie dough will sink as it cooks).

Today I was joined by high school students Emma and Reilly, who had to follow a “professional” (that’s me!) for a school assignment. They sat in on a production meeting, helped me make an apple pie video (above), and came up with their very own blog post (post to come).

I piled our extra glass bulb ornaments into bowls and hung a few more from the branches of our faux houseplant to Christmas up our kitchen.

Tacky? Maybe. But I love kitsch at Christmastime.

When Kendrick and I finished decorating our tree, we still had tons of ornaments left to play with, so I decided to come up with some ways to incorporate them into the decor in other areas of our apartment.

The lightbulb in our bathroom (actually a water closet, as there’s nothing in it but a toilet) has a pull-cord, so I attached four Glitter Poinsettia ornaments (which come with helpful clips) to the cord. I’m pretty proud of myself for this idea, and am thinking about keeping it even after the holiday season ends.
