Showing off my new locks outside the Firefly Lounge, on Ventura Blvd in Studio City. This was one of my favorite haunts back in my LA days.
It’s no secret that I’m a fan of the bargain buy, but I have to make special mention of this outfit, as it’s my favorite standby, and I’m pretty proud of how wallet-friendly it was: save for the blazer, which is by Walter (and which I bought on sale at Macy’s for just over $100), nothing that I’m wearing cost more than $20. The shoes are Baker’s, $19.99 on sale, and the shorts and top are Forever 21.
The accessories are a little more luxe: sunglasses by Proenza Schouler, necklace (actually a vintage pocket watch) from the Metropolitan Museum of Art Store, bags by YSL (left) and Kooba (right).
